The butterscotch pudding was a hit! The boys loved it and asked if I could make it again tomorrow. Doubling the recipe is a good idea as one batch gave us 5 little bowls, just enough for one family desert. I can remember eating pudding as treat in my school lunch, or when I was sick, or as dessert sometimes. In any occasion the memory is infused with comfort, home and most importantly the soothing, steady and grounding love of mom. I'm happy to have found a recipe that might become for my boys what pudding was for me. I adore the simple flavour palate that comes with feeding children. Building memories with each little spoon full, like layers of paint on a canvas.
