I have, for as long as I can remember now, been interested in herbs and always wanted to study them. I think I was either 16 or 18 years old when I got my first course info package from Dominion herbal college. I have probably ordered 5 more since then! It a college out of B.C that offers a few distance learning programs. Although I didn't order one this week ( I went on line and called instead) I have decided to finally register and start studying!
I cant wait to learn about our native herbs and healers. More so, I cant wait to go on forest and field walks and know what I'm looking at, and why I should dig them up, and then what I should do with them! I'll one day be that old lady with a cupboard full of dark glass bottles with droppers, weird teas, homemade body care and no doubt a wicked garden!! I'll harvest under the full moon, make potions and salves all the while wearing dresses and house aprons, probably from Anthropologie! My hair will roll out of a bun, down to my tailbone when my work is done as I sit in my rocker sipping mead (honey wine) or lavender wine. Ahhh! Always a daydreamer I am.
So there, I've realized that in some cases, desire just doesn't pass with time and there is no time like the present.
Enjoy your fresh herbs this week,
Lora
I think it is a beautiful real dream.
