Hemp Seed Hummus

If your family enjoys eating your homemade Hummus, why not try making it with hemp seed oil and hearts to add some efa's (essential fatty acids) and more protein?  It's a delicious and easy way to get those good oils in. Here's How:

Start with a can of Organic Chickpeas (no edta listed in ingredients) add 1 TBS of tahini or sesame butter, a healthy drizzle of hemp seed oil, or a combo of hemp and Olive oil, 1/2 Tsp, or to taste, of sea salt, 1 clove of garlic or tsp or chopped prepared garlic, juice of 1 lemon and 3 TBS of raw hemp seed hearts.

Use a hand mixer like this one and add some water as you go along to get the right consistency.

I like it nice and smooth!
Enjoy your hemp seed hummus as a spread in wraps and sandwiches, with brown rice crackers or as a veggie dip!

Enjoy!~
