Encaustics at THE HIVE!

With my friends I travelled to "The Hive" at Alton mill to the warm, delicious world of Encaustics for an all day  workshop with Artist and instructor Andrea Bird. I had no idea what to expect but loved the idea of taking a workshop just for fun and spending a full day creating with friends.

The Mill itself was super inspirational with its historic charm, galleries, and many mind spinning studio spaces rented by some great artists!

Encaustic is the technique of painting with beeswax and oil paint, which smells amazing and feels exciting to work with! I loved it!
