Hours of Opperation
Some time this past fall we (us and most ontarians) received a notice about Ontario electricity time of use price periods. So basically how to save money and energy based on when you use your electricity. And Probably like most, my husband and I cut out the little chart and decided we would give it a try. We would run our dishwasher and Laundry Machines at off peak times and save money. It wasn't until last night when my friend and I were talking about the piles of Laundry that are always waiting to be washed and dried and put away, same with the dishes that I realized not only do our husbands and children undervalue our "work" so does the world it seems, well at least ONtario Hydro! I mean really, we have a million things that need to get done between 8 and 4,then make& clean up from dinner, get stuff ready for the next day and then finally sit back and relax, if we can stay awake that is. Right? WRONG. No now we are suppose to wait to start the Laundry and do the dishes, stay up long enough to switch the laundry and put away the dishes? Isn't that what we do during the day, the "working Hours" Honestly. What a reflexion of the times. Is no body home any more to clean the house, cook the meals, care for the children. Are these things that are the very core and heart of the family no longer important? Well then what is? Honestly.
