Cute as a button!

Thanks to a new friend, I had the pleasure of meeting this party of Buttons last night. We spent some time getting acquainted, but there is still loads of exploring to do. Literally, there is a bucket full of buttons. And now I know where the expression "cute as a button" comes from!

These little beauties are waiting to become the eyes and personality of the up coming owl project
" little Hootin' Annie's! "

Here is a little sneak peak of the Owls Michelle and I have happily been making together over the last month or so. Each of them have been hand made with love and mostly recycled fabrics. They are filled with natural unspun wool and did I mention, Love!! They are totally green and well, cute as a button!
Little Hootin' Annie's!!!
These are a few of many to come.

Sewing Makes me think about life long ago. You've seen the movies, like Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.  Women would sit together and sew and mend and make. I love that. I've always admired that in those movies. Purposely hanging out for a purpose. And all the while lifting our spirits, growing and connecting. How pefect is that! Last night was no different, we ate, sat around the table sewing, imagining, creating, talking and having fun "working!"

Our Little Hootin' Annies will be available this fall at Pomegranates and Clementines in Aurora. And if you've never been, you have to check it out! Talk about Creative and Inspiring!!

hoot, hoot!
