With the cooler weather day, I thought a nice Pear Crisp would do us all right. I don't overly sweeten it so that I can also use it the next day as a "breakfast treat" served with plain organic yogurt! School mornings can be a little hectic, its nice sometimes to have a break!
I very rarely "measure" when I put something like this together, so here we go....
PeaR CRisp:
enough pears to fill your baking dish (8 or so), peeled and thickly sliced
I also used some blueberries that were "drawing in"
toss in your baking dish with enough maple syrup to coat, cinnamon, and 1 Tbs of flour (this is to make it less runny)
for the Crumble:
Organic quick cook oats (up to a cup)
1/2 cup organic flour (I like spelt)
1/4 cup, or more of brown sugar
1/4 cup or more of butter
mix the crumble, and position on top of your shiny, happy pears!
Bake in a pre heated oven at 350, for up to an hour.
enjoy~
