Working with Red Majolica

I have been working with a deep red clay to make Garden pottery, called Red majolica. It was the deepest, richest red I could buy. The first pot I threw on the wheel, nearly took my breath away. It wasn't the pot itself, at this stage I was still centering. It was the seeing the deep red, thick clay water covering my hands, my wrists and oozing between my fingers. I didn't expect this experience. I was shocked at how instantly rooted and connected I felt to the Earth. So primal. With my heart and mind totally expanded I continued potting until I used all the clay I bought. My relationship with pottery has forever changed, right here in this collection of GARDEN POTS. All will be available in my Spring Sale during the last weekend of April 2012!
